Roborock is a Chinese company that specializes in the development of home products, mainly robot vacuums. Roborock was founded in Beijing in July 2014. It was supported by Xiaomi in its early days. Roborock has been a leading robot vacuum brand for a while now. They recently launched their two new robot vacuums in 2025. Saros 10 and Saros 10R are both their top-of-the-line premium robot vacuums.

Roborock’s robot vacuums are of 3 categories. If price is your main concern, then look into the Q Series first, as these models tend to be the most affordable. The S series has some entry-level robot vacuums, although some higher models like the S8 MaxV Ultra have more premium features. The Qrevo series starts from mid-range to premium vacuums as they include great features and new innovations. The Saros series is Roborock’s latest premium lineup, with cutting-edge technology and premium price tags.

Saros 10R robot vacuum

Roborock Saros 10R

The Saros 10R is Roborock’s top-of-the-line premium robot vacuum, which came out in 2025. It’s the thinnest robot vacuum on the market. It’s loaded with features and performs exceptionally well. Saros 10R has an upgraded navigation system and stronger suction power than before. It’s one of the most powerful robot vacuums we have ever tested. The Saros 10R has ToF sensors and an RGB camera to precisely detect and avoid obstacles. This robot vacuum can detect 108+ types of objects.

Saros 10R has a power suction of 20,000Pa. It can easily clean under furniture due to its thin design. Saros 10R is equipped with Star Sight Autonomous 2.0 technology, which can map your entire home accurately. This vacuum also comes with a one-year warranty. If you are looking to buy a new robot vacuum or thinking of upgrading to a new vacuum, then this is definitely the best option. Its only downside is that it comes at a higher price point, and it has slightly less suction power than the Saros 10.

Reasons to buy:

  • Great suction power.
  • Best obstacle avoidance.
  • Star Autonomus 2.0 mapping technology.
  • ToF sensors for accurate navigation.

Reasons to avoid:

  • Higher price point.
  • Slightly less powerful than Saros 10.

Roborock Qrevo Edge

The Roborock Qrevo Edge is a newer robot vacuum from Roborock that has almost similar features to their top model, the Roborock Qrevo Curv. This robot vacuum can clean and mop your floors at the same time. The Qrevo Edge got the LiDAR navigation system, which does a great job at mapping your house and also obstacle avoidance. It also has a built-in camera on the front and reactive AI, which helps in avoiding the objects that are lower to the ground. Roborock has one of the best apps out there with lots of functions and is very user-friendly.

Its dustbin is slightly smaller than its competitors, which is not a big issue. The main drawback that we noticed in Qrevo Edge was that it uses double the amount of water that Qrevo Edge does. If you go ahead with this robot vacuum, then use it on its lowest water settings for best results.

Reasons to buy:

  • Excellent mopping and suction ability.
  • Great battery life.

Reasons to avoid:

  • High water usage during mopping
  • Mediocre obstacle avoidance.
Roborock s8 maxv ultra review

Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra has been one of my all-time favorite robot vacuums for a while now. It has all the features you need to keep your house clean and germ-free. It comes at a higher price point and performs better than our expectations. It’s equipped with ReactiveAI 2.0 for smart obstacle avoidance. It’s got great suction power of 10,000Pa HyperForce® suction power. The S8 MaxV Ultra uses LiDAR and stereo cameras for better mapping and obstacle detection. It has an automatic mop-washing system.

If you are looking to get a robot vacuum and mop, and budget is not an issue for you, then I do believe the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra should be on your list. It’s packed with tons of intelligent features and is great at cleaning.

Reasons to buy:

  • Great suction power
  • 180 minutes of battery runtime.
  • An automatic mop-washing system.

Reasons to avoid:

  • Expensive robot vacuum.
  • Weighs 29.1 lbs.

Roborock Qrevo Master

The Roborock Qrevo Master costs around $1599.99, but at the time of writing this article, the price is around $899.99. This robot vacuum has a power suction of 10,000 Pa, which is acceptable. The Roborock Qrevo Master uses a top-mounted LiDAR sensor for mapping and navigating, which is exceptional. Its mopping system has an adjustable water flow and a FlexiArm Mop, which provides great edge cleaning. The Roborock Qrevo Master has an automatic mop pad lifting to avoid wetting carpets.

If you have a really complex home layout and want a robot vacuum that is best at navigating and obstacle avoidance, then Qrevo is the best choice for you. It has a better navigation system than most of its competitors. If you are looking for a new robot vacuum that provides great features and something that can clean under low furniture, and includes things like retractible navigation pucks, than there are better options like Saros 10 and Saros 10R

Reasons to buy:

  • Powerful suction, great for pet hairs.
  • Very good mopping.
  • LiDAR navigation, one of the best.

Reasons to avoid:

  • outdated robot design and large dock
roborock q8 max plus cleaning on hardwood floor

Roborock Q8 Max+

The Roborock Q8 Max Plus is the latest update to the Q8 Max series. It features a higher-powered suction mode that improves an already exceptional cleaning performance. This robot vacuum has a dual roller brush that helps collect debris of all types and had excellent results on our hair tests. The large debris collection bag on the self-emptying docking station gives the Q8 Max Plus tremendous autonomy. The Roborock Q8 Max Plus performed exceptionally well on both hard surfaces and carpets. It removed 98% of the debris.

It has a power suction of 5500 Pa, which ensures high-quality suction on different types of surfaces. The dock perfectly collects dust. It’s got Reactive Tech front sensors, which are good for larger obstacles. It gives tangle-free cleaning using its double brushes. The downside is that there is no dirty water tank or clean water refill, and during dust extraction, the station can be noisy

Reasons to buy:

  • Good suction power.
  • Great sensors for larger obstacles.
  • Tangle-free cleaning

Reasons to avoid:

  • It doesn’t have auto mop head cleaning feature
  • Does not have carpet detection sensors and a wet cloth lifting mechanism
  • There’s no dirty water tank or clean water refill

What to Look for in a Roborock Vacuum

Roborock has been releasing so many robot vacuums that choosing the right one can be a little overwhelming.

Suction Power: You should look for suction power; it should be more than 5000 Pa for efficient cleaning. If you have carpets, then you might need a robot vacuum with higher suction power. The Saros 10R and Qrevo Edge both have the highest suction power among the Roborock vacuums.

Tangle-free Cleaning: If you have pets and deal with lots of pet hair, then look for a robot vacuum that provides 100% tangle-free cleaning and is good at obstacle avoidance. The Saros 10R is a great choice.

Mopping Features: Look for mopping features like Reactive Mopping, VibraRise, etc. to get more efficient cleaning and mop drying. Robot vacuums like the S8 MaxV Ultra provide these features.

Budget: If budget is no issue for you, then definitely go for premium robot vacuums like the Saros 10R and S8 MaxV Ultra. They provide exceptional performance. But if you are on a tight budget and still want something as good as these robot vacuums, then the Q8 Max Plus and Qrevo Master are great options as well. Although they might not have great features like them, they still provide efficient cleaning on both hardwood and carpet floors and can deal with pet hair with ease.
