My name is Aly and I'm a writer who is passionate about helping people find the best vacuum cleaner. Through hands-on testing and research, I break down suction power, features, and value to make buying easier for you.

Eureka J15 Pro Ultra Review

The Eureka J15 Pro Ultra is a flagship version of a robot vacuum mop, and it’s got some really cool features. It has a power suction of 16,200 Pa, an 8-in-1 multifunctional base, and powerful AI with a price tag of $999. It is definitely one of the best robot vacuums on the market. It’s got awesome hair-tangling technologies that deal with pet hair effortlessly.

PROS:

  • Great suction power of 16,200Pa.
  • Advanced navigation helps with efficient cleaning.
  • Comes with a self-cleaning base.
  • Comes with FlexiRazor blades to cut hair tangles.

CONS:

  • Multiple passes for tough stains.
  • Large base station.
  • Higher price point.

Smart Base and Advanced Features

At the top of the base station are two storage bins, one for clean water and one for dirty, and below that is a massive dust bag and an internal tray where everything comes together: the vacuum refills clean water, drains dirty water after washing the mop pads at 75°C (167°F), and then dries them at 55°C (131°F) to prevent mold and mildew; on the vacuum itself, you get physical buttons, a dust tray, and Intelli View 3D AI with a high-precision camera and LiDAR for advanced obstacle avoidance, plus app-controlled camera access for remote viewing, while underneath, a single side brush extends into corners to help direct debris toward the powerful 16,200 Pa suction system.

Smart Brush Design and Mop Pad Mechanics

The J15 Pro Ultra features an optimized roller brush that prevents hair from tangling at the ends. Below that is Eureka’s patented Flexi Razor Blade system, vibrating blades that cut tangled hair so it can be sucked into the vacuum. It also comes with dual mop pads, including one mounted on a flex arm to extend toward edges and furniture without bumping into them. The vacuum applies pressure during mopping for a deep clean, and when it moves over rugs or carpet, the pads automatically lift to avoid getting them wet.

Real-World Cleaning Tests

To check the 16,200 Pa suction power, I scattered some cat hair and other dirt on an already cleaned carpet using a different vacuum. The J15 Pro cleaned everything with ease, leaving the carpet looking new. Next, I checked if it could clean dry and wet spills by dumping dry cereal and milk. When it saw the wet mess, the vacuum suspended the roller brush and only employed the use of mop pads. When faced with a dry mess, it decelerated the side brush, scooping all to the middle prior to sucking up the dust. In handling wet messes, the vacuum elevates the primary brush and turns around, causing the mop pads to have an initial touch while cleaning the spill, preserving the roller as a dry tool. After the cleaning was complete, the mop pads were removed again, and the vacuum went back to its stand to self-clean, flaunting the intelligent AI and effective design.

Coffee Stain Test

For the last test, I decided to challenge the J15 Pro by putting three large coffee stains on the floor and letting them dry throughout the day. Cleaning dried-out coffee stains isn’t easy, so I wanted to see how well the vacuum would handle it. Since the mop doesn’t have onboard water, it relies on returning to the base station to wet the mop pads before going back out to clean. Because of this, the vacuum needed to make several passes over the dried stains to fully clean them. The mop pads aren’t designed to clean a tough mess like this in a single pass, so I ran the vacuum through three different cleaning cycles to get everything fully cleaned up.

App Features and Customization

I wanted to show you some of the features in the app. After opening it, you can see all of my rooms, like the dining room, kitchen, and living room—clearly labeled. You can easily customize the room layout, combine rooms, or adjust the settings to fit your needs. Below the map, there’s the option to select specific rooms or zones for cleaning. I used this feature in my tests, and it was pretty useful. You can also choose to clean the entire space with a single click.

For cleaning modes, you can choose vacuum and mop, vacuum only, mop only, or personalize it according to your choice. I like the “Smart” mode, which allows the AI to take control of the cleaning process. The app also allows you to return the vacuum to the base station when necessary.

Video Patrol Feature

A cool feature is the video patrol. If you click on the camera icon, you can see live video from the vacuum’s camera. It’s movable, and you can control it to see around the house. The camera lets you take pictures, record video, or start a patrol mode to survey your home. Plus, the camera is TUV certified, ensuring privacy protection. If the camera is turned on, it announces its activation to anyone in the house.

Settings and Customization

In the settings option, which you can access in the top right corner, you can schedule settings, see the cleaning logs, and adjust various settings. Voice settings, cleaning preferences, and station settings are available. Station settings allow you to customize water temperature, washing frequency of mop, and self-cleaning frequencies for more personal cleaning. AI Butler provides further customization, and this device can be tailored according to your own needs.

Final Thoughts

After testing this vacuum in multiple scenarios, I can confidently say that the J15 Pro is ideal for any situation. Whether you’re cleaning tile, hardwood floors with the downward pressure mop pads, or carpets with its 16,000 PA suction, this device delivers exceptional performance across the board.
