Inside the box
Inside the box, the number one is two magnetic mop attachments. They come pre-installed with the velcro attached microfiber cloth. It’s good to see that these are going to be easily replaceable. You will also find mova’s own mopping detergent that is used to clean the mop attachments, which is pretty cool. And next, you get the robot vacuum itself. The last thing is the base station itself with a ramp extension plate. You will also find a manual in it to help guide you through the setup.
Mova P50 Pro Ultra Features
The robot has a clean water tank and a dirty water tank. It’s going to mop and vacuum your floors at the same time, and then it’s going to empty out its dustbin into a dust bag in the base station. Inside the base, you have a concentrated solution holder. You’re going to put the concentrated MOVA solution, which is just like dream solution, and the base station is going to mix it with the clean water to wash the mop pads. On top of the robot is LiDAR navigation. I really like LiDAR navigation.
The robot also has a smart sensor on the front, and it does have a video camera. You can take pictures and videos. It also has an internal water tank. And it has 32 levels of water. You can adjust from 1 to 32 levels of how wet the floor is going to get. The vacuum can leave its mop pads at the base station. In the app, there’s a setting where you can turn on detach mop pads. When it wants to vacuum carpet, it will leave them.
Another great feature in this vacuum is a high-visibility LED light. Using this LED light, it can work in areas where there is less light, such as dark rooms or under the furniture.
You can also monitor your home when you are away. You can video call your robot vacuum to see what your pets or kids are doing. In our testing, we found the video quality to be very good.
Vacuum and Mopping Performance
To check its mopping and vacuum performance, we did some tests the first one is muddy paw prints. It identified that those are muddy paw prints, and it started going into an extensive mopping mode. It turned the vacuum off, lifted the side brush, and lifted the brush roller. So now, it’s in mopping-only.
In our testing, the Mova P50 Pro Ultra did an excellent job mopping the floor. It was able to clean all the muddy prints in just one pass. And if we look in the app, we can see it’s got a muddy print there. After cleaning the muddy prints, it went back to just mopping and vacuuming. And I’ve got it mopping in the floor direction. The floor we tested this vacuum on is vinyl plank flooring. So using the app, I’ve set it to mop in the direction of the flooring. After it was done cleaning, it went back to the base station. At the base station, it will clean its mop pads and then dry them using hot air.
The Mova P50 Pro Ultra is equipped with 19,000 Pa of suction power. That’s more than all the other models available on the market at this price tag. It also has dirt detection sensors, meaning it can detect the amount of dust on the floor and then adjust its suction power according to that.
This vacuum also performed well in cleaning corners. Its side brush is extendable. When the vacuum detects a corner, it extends its side arm brush and mop pad for better cleaning in corners.
Anti-Tangle CleanChop Brush
This vacuum also has an Anti-Tangle CleanChop Brush. This brush is very useful if you have pet hair on your floor or carpet. It prevents the hair from tangling around the brush. The vacuum chops the hair and sucks it into its dustbin. In our testing, after cleaning pet hair, there was no hair on the brush.
For testing its pet hair pickup performance, we placed a carpet with embedded pet hair. And honestly, we were impressed by its performance. It did a pretty good job at picking up pet hair. It took three passes to remove all the hair from the carpet.
All-in-One Dock
The All-in-One Dock provides you the convenience. It handles all the things for you, so you don’t have to spend your time doing manual things. Instead, you can use that time to do something more important to you.
The dock can auto-collect dust from the robot’s dustbin when charging. Inside the dock, there is a 3.2L dust bag where it collects dust, saving you the effort of emptying it yourself. You can go for around 75 days without the need to empty this bag.
When the robot is done mopping, it returns to the dock. The dock then cleans the mop pads using hot water, and it uses hot air of 75℃ (167°F) to dry them. The hot air prevents odor and bacteria. The dock also mixes the cleaning solution for you and other tasks like auto water refilling for mopping.
Voice Control
This Mova P50 Pro Ultra also has voice control. You can give the following commands using voice:
- Start/Pause Cleaning
- Set Room and Zone Cleaning
- Adjust Cleaning Modes
- Call to Start Cleaning
Final Thoughts
Overall, this vacuum is a great pick for under $1000. It has all the features that you can expect from a premium robot vacuum model. Including the all-in-one dock, carpet sensors, LiDAR navigation, no-go zones, and object avoidance.
We are really impressed with the 19,000 Pa suction power that this vacuum provides. It was able to handle small and large particles without any issues. And don’t forget about the pet hair pickup; this vacuum is great at that too. Not only is this vacuum able to pick up hair from hardwood floors and carpets, it also cuts them to make sure there is 0% tangling.
In my opinion, this is the best value for money vacuum that you can get if you are looking for something under $1000. However, if you are looking for something much more premium with more features, I recommend looking at our list of best robot vacuums.
