MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete

The MOVA Z60 Ultra Roller Complete is the latest flagship robot vacuum. This is MOVA’s everything-included model. Vacuum, mop, and full self-maintenance. The Z60 Ultra has a suction power of 28,000Pa which is the highest we have seen in any robot vacuum. The MOVA Z60 Ultra now beats the Saros 10R when it comes to suction power.

PROS:

  • Strong suction power of 28,000Pa
  • Roller Mopping for better cleaning performance

CONS:

  • Occasionally bump into things

MOVA Z60 Ultra Features

First of all, it’s sleek; it’s only 96 mm tall when the LiDAR drops to low mode. So, it fits under furniture, which most robots really can’t. This retractable sensor has dual lasers in it and has an RGB camera right at the front to give it precise mapping and smart obstacle avoidance.

Now, this means the bot can go under low spaces and not get lost, cleaning areas that hardly ever get cleaned. I really like the way the Z60 can slide under, though sometimes the retractable LiDAR made it pause awkwardly before committing, but that’s okay.

Now, the star feature in the MOVA Z60 Ultra is this roller mop. Instead of a flat pad, the Z60 Ultra uses a 25 cm spinning roller with 12 spray nozzles right on top. That means it gets rinsed continuously as it cleans, and the dirty water gets scraped into the waste tank. So, you’re not just pushing grime around.

And in my tests, including dried coffee on tiles, the roller scrubbed stains out in a single pass with its 4,100 pascals of downward pressure. And these fluffy fibers also reached grout lines much better than flat pads.

Mova has a dual detergent system. Yes, it’s something extra you have to buy, but you can probably get a third party. The important thing here is that it first has a normal cleaning solution for daily cleans, but then another one for deodorizing the mop after it cleans itself. And this is a lifesaver for pet owners. The mop never develops a musty smell, and even after so many cleans, it’s just got that clean smell to it.

Cleaning Performance

The Z60 Ultra has 28,000 Pascals of suction and It’s actually the strongest one I’ve ever tested. The cleaning performance of this robot is great on hard floors and carpets. It easily managed to suck baking powder out of hardwood floor gaps and deep into rugs.

The Turbo Wave Duo Brush is also resistant to hair tangles. Even after my German Shepherd shedding all day every day, there was nothing I needed to scrape off the brush.

Another great feature is that this robot vacuum can automatically detect carpets and increase its suction power on carpet. The turbo mode is a lot louder than I would expect. So, I wouldn’t be watching TV around it. But when it is just traveling around your home, it’s dead quiet.

When it does hit a rug that’s a little bit taller, there is an auto shield system that lifts the mop and drops a drip guard underneath it, so the carpet stays dry no matter how fluffy or high it is. And the StepMaster legs and the Lift Pro chassis help it climb thresholds of up to 4.8 cm. That’s right, this thing climbs like the Saros 10R and Dreame X50 Ultra.

My front door frame is way high and it doesn’t stop this robot from cleaning. It can go right across it, which is pretty intense. I got such a kick watching it. I have some thick rugs at home where this robot kind of struggled to gain traction in some areas, but it still managed to get on and finish the job. It never got stuck, which is really important.

Self-emptying Base Station

Now, let’s talk about the base station because yeah, it’s big, but it’s actually not as big as many other robots. The base station is in itself almost a robot. Like, you could call it a robot because it does a lot of the cleaning for the robot.

It empties the dustbin, it swaps clean and dirty water, it washes the mop with hot water and the detergent, and then it dries it with warm air. It even has UV sterilization.

Now, realistically speaking, some people will be concerned with the size of it. No, it’s not for a small apartment. I’ll give it that. Its physical size is quite large. It is meant for large homes. So, after 2 weeks with the robot, has it been a winner at my home? Well, happily, yes, it really has. So far, it’s been just magical.

Battery Life

There is a concern about battery life because of a large home. It spends a bit more time doing things. But that’s okay. 150 minutes lasts my house, and it can go back and charge pretty quickly. So, the bigger house will push its limits, but the robot is smart enough to return and come back with a full tank, a washed mop pad, and a charged battery, which is really good for large homes.

Mova Home App

The Mova Home app is simple. It maps and does all the zones, the no-go areas, and schedules all work without a fuss. At the end of the day, you just press start and let it run. There are also AI capabilities, which help the robot decide what to do depending on how dirty the house is. It can sense dust and stains on the ground and carpets through the AI camera recognition. Based on that, it starts cleaning your home.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Mova Z60 Ultra Roller Complete has a lot going for it. It’s super smart. It vacuums with serious power, scrubs floors properly with fresh water from the machine, and handles carpets without soaking them, which is a huge plus. The self-cleaning base also means you spend little time actually maintaining it, which has now become the biggest part of owning robots like this.

And after the 2 weeks of use, I really don’t need to touch the mop or the dustbin anymore. That being said, its features bring a premium price, which puts this in the “it costs a first car” bucket. But for families that work, play, and don’t want to clean the house, or just want to do the little amount of effort because they want to do other things, it is very tempting.

And from my testing, it’s good to go. It will perform as expected.
