Yeedi S14 Plus

The Yeedi S14 Plus is a powerful robot vacuum packed with advanced features like TruEdge 2.0, Omni roller, and advanced navigation. It’s equipped with 18,000 Pa suction power and the revolutionary OZMO roller mopping system. The All-in-one base station handles everything from auto-emptying to hot water mop cleaning and 145℉ hot air drying.

PROS:

  • Strong suction power of 18,000 Pa
  • Ozmo roller mopping system for better mopping performance
  • Advance All-in-one base station

CONS:

  • Small battery life
  • Navigation performance is solid but slightly behind rivals like the Ecovacs X8

At first glance it looks like a high-end premium cleaning machine, it does have a couple of unique tricks up its sleeves that really do give it some cool competitive advantages.

When you buy one of these bad boys, you get everything you need right out of the box, including the all-in-one Omni station, of course the S14 Plus cleaning unit itself, and all the information you’ll need to get started.

All-in-one Omni Station

So let’s start off with the Omni station, which is essentially the all-in-one hub for your robovac. This thing has a ton of functionality. Starting with the top side, you notice you have two dedicated tanks over here. One is a clean water tank and the other is a dirty water tank.

The clean water tank, after every couple of usages, you basically fill up. It’s really easy to do that, and once you do that, the robovac takes the rest of the process. Then, the same thing with the dirty water tank; you empty it once it fills up completely.

It is worth noting that you also have a replaceable dustbin, and that’s easily accessible through the plastic encasing that comes right off. Once this thing fills up again, it’s convenient to replace.

At the very bottom is where you have the charging station for the robovac itself. This is also where you have the auto-empty functionality, as well as the mop cleaning mechanism. It uses a hot water system to clean the actual mop pad to ensure that it’s sanitary every time before it’s used again. Furthermore, you also have a built-in heated dry mechanism to make sure that the mop pad is completely dried off after every use.

S14 Plus Design

You have a ton of sensors all around the body. On the top side, you’ll notice you do have a removable plastic lid, behind which you have an accessible switch to turn your robovac on or off and a dust canister in case you do any sort of manual maintenance.

On the bottom side, the first thing you’ll notice is the Osmo roller mop brush. This thing is super cool and uses a high-pressure water system to constantly keep the roller mop clean. The S14 Plus uses the Zero Tangle 2.0 technology, which basically prevents it from getting any sort of clogging of hair, strings, or strands after use, which means that there’s nearly zero maintenance required to keep this thing clean.

Then you’ll also notice the S14 plus have a side brush, which actually has the True Edge 2.0 technology. This means it can extend outward to reach even the tightest of corners.

Yeedi S14 Plus Performance

The Yeedi S14 Plus is equipped with an 18,000 Pascal suction motor. This robot vacuum is guaranteed to pretty much pick up any debris that comes in its path on the first run every single time. Our test showed that no matter what we tossed on its way, whether it’s powder debris or anything in between, it completely picks it up and it doesn’t miss a single spot.

Also, because of how powerful the motor is, you can completely use it with utmost assurance that it’s going to work just fine on a carpeted surface as well. It has a suction boost mechanism to make sure that it puts that extra force when working on a carpeted surface, and because you have 20 mm of clearance, you can go across various surfaces without the robovac getting stuck.

I also want to mention the side brush is absolutely awesome. It has the True Edge 2.0 tech. It kind of extends outwards to make sure that it captures debris even in the most hidden corners out there, which is something a lot of other robovacs just don’t have and often miss out on.

Osmo Roller Mopping System

Let’s talk about the signature feature that had me personally curious, and that’s the Osmo roller mopping mechanism. Basically you have a roller blade with a high-quality fabric or cloth on it for the mopping mechanism. What makes it really cool is that it constantly gets a fresh supply of high-press water, making sure that the mop has a clean supply. So as it picks up various stains and whatnot, it stays clean and sanitary throughout the whole run.

What makes it so darn good is that you have a substantial amount of weight with this robovac. The mop presses quite hard against the floor, which means it almost always picks up all the stains, whether they’re wet or dry, in the first try without fail. In fact, this was so effective that I was kind of surprised. It just eliminates the need to do any sort of manual mopping or cleaning entirely if you regularly run this thing.

AI-Powered Navigation

I want to take a moment to appreciate the optical detection sensors we have on board. Yeedi officially calls it the IV 3D 3.0 technology, and basically, using AI and the sensors, it’s able to detect all the objects in its range. Rather than avoid them, it actually goes right up to them and makes sure it cleans every little corner.

This is especially useful in tight spaces where you have dining chairs or where you might have tight corners that aren’t easily accessible.

All of this, of course, can be easily controlled through the Yeedi app, which is so well made. You have cool features like the ability to have a carpet-first cleaning mode or prioritize suction boost on carpeted surfaces. You can also set up other settings, like how long it takes for your robovac to go back to the station and clean the mop between runs, and everything in between.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the S14 Plus has a lot going for it, whether it’s its powerful 18,000 Pascal suction capabilities or the Osmo roller mechanism, which honestly surprised me at how well it’s able to clean stains in a single go. Even when it can’t, the advanced AI system we have on board will always go back to a dirty area and make sure it’s completely clean, no matter how many runs it might require.

The Omni station itself is again completely comprehensive. It has everything you need in one. One of the common themes you’ll notice with this product is that you have near-zero maintenance required. It takes care of itself for the most part, which is how automated cleaning should be in the first place.

Another thing that I really think is cool is that you have some pretty competitive pricing with the S14 Plus. It actually undercuts a lot of competition while giving you the same features that often operate better. So I think the quality of cleaning that you get with this device is totally worth it.
