Mova V50 Ultra

As of July 2025, the Mova V50 Ultra is the robot vacuum with the strongest suction power on the market at 24,000 Pascal. So if you’re simply looking for the most powerful model because you’ve got an incredibly thick carpet, this is the one for you.

That’s not all this vacuum has to offer. In fact, it’s probably one of the most advanced robot vacuums available in terms of features and definitely the most advanced I’ve ever had. Thankfully, it’s still relatively easy to understand for regular consumers like you and me, so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how it works.

PROS:

  • Strongest suction power on the market at 24,000 Pascal
  • Zero hair tangling rate
  • Can climb a thresholds of up to 2.3 inch (6cm)
  • Good Mopping Performance

CONS:

Inside The Box

In the box, aside from the vacuum itself, you’ll find a base station, several mop pads, cleaning solutions, vacuum bags, and a bunch of extra accessories. The included double-sided guide tells you how to set everything up, which is nice.

You also get two types of cleaning solution. The standard one goes in chamber A, and the pet-specific one goes in chamber B. The pet formula is stronger and designed for pet accidents, like urine and muddy paw stains.

Mova recommends using their own solution, which is fine in my opinion because it actually doesn’t use that much. Cleaning my 100 square m space barely makes a dent in the cleaning solution, so you won’t have to restock it that often, which is quite nice.

Mova V50 Design

The V50 Ultra vacuum has the same look as other Mova robots, so if you do a quick Google search, you might stumble upon cheaper models like the Mova P10 pro or Mova E30 and think, “Oh, this one is cheap.” But be alert; they definitely don’t have the same features.

This model comes in both black and a white-gold version, which is the one that I have. The white one blends nicely into the walls, so people rarely notice there’s a robot vacuum sitting there at all. It just kind of disappears. No one has asked about the device when they came to our home.

Cleaning Performance

When I first fired up the Mova V50 Ultra, I wasn’t expecting it to handle everything I threw at it, but I was seriously impressed. To really see what this robot was capable of, I put it through a few everyday “real-life” tests. I scattered a mix of pet hair, cereal crumbs, and dust on both my living room carpet and the kitchen’s hard floors. The V50 Ultra didn’t flinch. It powered through with its crazy 24,000 Pa suction, picking everything up in a single pass, making it a great robot for carpet.

What really stood out to me was how well it handled long hair. I’ve tested plenty of vacuums that end up with a mess of tangled hair around the brush roll, but the V50 Ultra has a triple anti-tangle system, and it works. The TroboWave DuoBrush didn’t choke once, even after I vacuumed the area where my dog naps (which is basically a fur storm). I actually opened up the brush housing afterward, expecting the usual cleanup, but there was barely anything wrapped around it.

It transitioned from hardwood to carpet smoothly and adjusted suction levels automatically. Even the tricky corners and edges were surprisingly well-cleaned. Better than I expected for a round robot vacuum. Overall, the V50 Ultra’s cleaning performance feels high-end. It doesn’t just look like a premium vacuum; it actually works like one too.

Mopping Performance

I’ve used robot mops before, and honestly, most of them feel like they’re just dragging a damp cloth around. But the Mova V50 Ultra genuinely surprised me with how well it mops. It’s easily one of the most thorough mopping systems I’ve tested.

To start, I filled the tank, which the V50 Ultra heats itself (to around 50°C), and selected the pet odor removal agent since my dog had just tracked in some mud. The DuoSolution system is clever; it sprays the mop automatically with the solution you choose, so I didn’t have to mess with it manually.

I tested it on dried coffee stains in the kitchen and some sticky spots near the dining table. The high-speed 260 rpm mop rotation, paired with 8N of downward pressure, made a visible difference. It didn’t just smear the stain around; it actually scrubbed it clean. The V50 Ultra can also extend its mop pad to clean around the furniture and edges.

One small detail that makes a big difference is the floating mop pad holder. It adjusts up and down slightly and can tilt 5°, which really helps when cleaning uneven flooring like my bathroom tiles. The pad stayed in firm contact with the floor the whole time, and the results were consistently good. No weird streaks or wet patches left behind.

After it returned to base, the self-washing and drying worked better than I expected. The mop came out looking nearly fresh, and the smell was neutral. Overall, the V50 Ultra doesn’t just mop; it deep cleans.

Obstacle Avoidance

I was really curious to see how the Mova V50 Ultra would handle my cluttered living room and honestly, it nailed it. I intentionally left out a few things during its first run: a phone charging cable, a pair of sneakers, my dog’s toy bone, and even a leg of a tripod I use for work. The V50 Ultra’s Advanced AI SmartSight, paired with its 3D Structured Light Scanner, detected them all in time and navigated around them like a pro. It didn’t just “slow bump” into objects; it recognized and avoided them completely.

What’s even cooler is that it works in low light. I tested it during the evening with only a dim lamp on, and its built-in LED fill light helped it stay just as accurate. I didn’t see any hesitation or missed obstacles even in the darker hallway.

According to the specs, it can recognize over 200 types of objects—and while I didn’t count, I can say it performed far better than most bots I’ve used, especially in cluttered areas. It’s the kind of feature that makes the V50 Ultra feel truly smart—not just a vacuum with a camera slapped on.

All-In-One Base Station

I’ve tested a lot of robot vacuums with self-cleaning docks, but the Mova V50 Ultra’s all-in-one base station genuinely feels next level. It’s not just a place the robot parks. This thing does the dirty work for real.

After every mopping session, the robot heads back and starts the cleaning cycle. The self-cleaning washboard has these 20 spray nozzles (10 on each side) that blast the mop pads with evenly distributed water. You can actually hear it working, and it’s super efficient. The built-in filter collects the grime and drains the dirty water, so there’s no nasty puddle left behind. My floors stay clean, and so does the robot.

What really impressed me is the OmniDry™ system. It doesn’t just dry the mop pads; it dries the dust box and dust bag too, which keeps smells away and prevents mold. The hot air drying hits 60°C and finishes in about an hour. No more damp, musty mop smell the next morning.

And on top of that? UV sterilization. After the mop is washed and dried, it gets hit with UV light to kill 99.99% of bacteria. The dust bag is also sterilized after auto-emptying, which is just smart. Less odor, fewer germs, and way less maintenance for me.

It also auto-refills the hot water tank and cleaning solution when needed. And yes, it empties itself too, hands-free for up to 100 days with the 3.2L dust bag. It’s like having a cleaning crew on standby. I’ve spent way less time babysitting this vacuum than any other I’ve used.

Final Thoughts

After using the Mova V50 Ultra for a while, I can say it’s one of the best robot vacuums I’ve tested. From its powerful 24,000 Pa suction to its smart obstacle avoidance and mopping with warm water, it checks almost every box for a premium cleaning experience.

What really sets it apart is the attention to detail. The triple anti-tangle system keeps hair from jamming the brushes, the DuoSolution system lets you tailor your mopping to everyday messes or pet-related odors, and the all-in-one base station basically takes care of everything—from washing and drying the mop to emptying the dustbin and sterilizing the parts.

It’s clear Mova didn’t just aim for power; they focused on convenience and hygiene too. The hot water mopping, UV sterilization, and auto-refill features all add up to a vacuum that saves you time and keeps your home cleaner without the usual hassle.

If you’re tired of babysitting your robot vacuum and want something that can truly manage itself while delivering top-tier results, the V50 Ultra is worth every penny. It feels less like a gadget and more like a helping hand around the house.
