The Shark brand, known for vacuums and other home appliances, was founded in 2007 by Mark Rosenzweig. He also founded the Shark’s parent company, SharkNinja, in 1995. Originally the company was called Euro-Pro. Later in 2015, It was renamed SharkNinja by Mark Rosenzweig.

Shark was created with a mission to develop cleaning appliances with “No-Loss-of-Suction”, convenience, and affordability for everyday households. Shark started to focus on the problems that you were experiencing during cleaning, like heavy designs, poor suction, and limited maneuverability. The company introduced features such as swivel steering, lift-away canisters, and anti-hair wrap technology. Which helped the Shark quickly become a popular vacuum brand.

Today, Shark is one of the most used vacuum brands in North America. It competes directly with giants like Dyson and Bissell. Shark frequently earns top marks in consumer reviews and testing.

Where Are Shark Vacuums Designed and Engineered?

Shark vacuums are designed and engineered in Needham, Massachusetts, USA. This is where SharkNinja’s team of engineers and designers focuses on developing new technologies, improving product performance, and enhancing user experience.

According to SharkNinja, they invest heavily in research and development (R&D) to stay competitive and meet the evolving needs of their consumers. While manufacturing is outsourced overseas, the core ideas, prototypes, and product testing are done in America.

Where Shark Vacuums Are Made

The manufacturing takes place primarily in China and some other countries of Asia. Just like the other vacuum brands, like dyson, SharkNinja outsources production to overseas factories to reduce the cost of production. This results in affordable product prices without compromising on the quality.

Despite the vacuums being made in China, Shark maintains strict quality control standards to make sure that every product meets the company’s performance and safety expectations.

By balancing American design and engineering with efficient international production, Shark is able to deliver innovation and affordability to consumers around the world.
